Military anti-drug ops embrace six states

Three weeks after launching a big military anti-drug operation in his home state of Michoacán [SSR-06-12], President Felipe Calderón sent forth, with similar fanfare, another aimed at a single city, Tijuana. Within a further week, more stealthily, he set in motion two others, in the southern state of Guerrero and in the three Sierra Madre states known as the 'Golden Triangle'. Given the scale of the deployments, results so far have been less than impressive.
